12193769_1165965610099121_7895701542132317674_nPolice at the traffic department have officially charged three persons in relation to the Rock Gutter accident on January 12th, 2015 resulting in the death of seven persons.

Ehud Myers, Colbert Bowens and Danavan Nanton appeared at the Serious Offences Court on Wednesday 11th, 2015 (today) charged jointly by omission causing the death of seven passengers (students) who were travelling in an omni-bus. They were not allowed to plea to the charge as it was laid indictable.

The formal charges came in light of the recent conclusion of a Coroner’s Inquest in which a decision was taken that the accused persons should be held responsible for the deaths of the students

Their next appearance in Court is January 21st, 2016 when a date is expected to be set for the Preliminary Inquiry.
