    Tropical Storm Warning Issued for St. Vincent and the Grenadines

    NEWS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

    TROPICAL STORM WARNING ISSUED FOR ST. VINCENT AND THE GRENADINES – SHUT DOWN OF ALL ACTIVITIES – BUSINESSES AND PUBLIC SERVICE IMMEDIATELY

    A full closure of all government buildings, businesses and activities has been issued by the Acting Prime Minister – Montgomery Daniel.

    All Emergency Shelters will continue to remain open.

    Information from the Meteorological Office indicates that St. Vincent and the Grenadines will be placed under a Tropical Storm Warning by noon today.

    The local Meteorological Office will provide update and coordinates of system is a subsequent release.

    All residents are asked to take the necessary precautions as Tropical Storm Matthew is now formed and St. Vincent and the Grenadines is expected to be under a Tropical Storm Warning.

    The National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO) will issue further releases by noon today.
