The Ministry of Tourism will launch  its “Sail St.Vincent and the Grenadines” product to kick start the yachting season 2021 which is scheduled to begin in November after the hurricane season .

At a news conference on Tuesday July 28th, Minister of Tourism and Culture Carlos James noted that even with the challenges  faced last year, there was an uptick in activity in the first quarter of 2020 signalling a clear opportunity for St. Vincent and the Grenadines, as a destination with some of the best sailing waters in the world.

While cruise passengers will not be able to freely explore the island due to the Covid-19 protocols, yachties will not be subject to the same restrictions.

Minister James said after these individuals quarantine for 48 hours on their vessels they will be able to fully enjoy the island.

The Tourism and Culture minister also discussed packages that will be offered to yachties including on and off shore excursions.
