Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves said some front line workers would be exempted from taking the Covid-19 vaccines under two grounds – deep held religious beliefs and on medical grounds in which the person must present a certificate by their medical practitioner, approved by the Chief Medical Officer.

The prime minister was at the time speaking on a program on VC3 on Wednesday night on the Public Health Amendment Bill 2021.

Speaking on the Covid-19 variants which have been wreaking havoc in other countries PM Gonsalves stressed the importance for frontline workers to get vaccinated.
