The signals from the monitoring network of La Soufriere volcano continue to indicate that it has ended its recent erupting phase.
This from lead scientist monitoring the volcano professor Richard Robertson on the eyeing La Soufriere programme on NBC radio yesterday.
The lead scientist said the main problem that is facing the people now is lahars or mudflows, noting that several were recorded across the red and orange zones on the weekend.
The last gas measurement was done on Friday which shows 300 tonnes being released per day.
Professor Robertson further spoke on some hazards that he said he observed on the road Sunday as he encouraged persons not to cross roads where there is heavy water flow from rivers.
