Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves is said to be suffering from post concussion syndrome as a result of the injury he sustained during last Thursday’s protest action in capital Kingstown.

PM Gonsalves called into We FM’s Issues at Hand radio program on Sunday from Barbados, where an MRI was done, said that he has not been the same after receiving the blow to the head, especially his vision which has become blurred.

The prime minister said that his doctor told him that based on the symptoms, it is in keeping with post concussion syndrome. However, tests were done which showed that his vision will be okay.

Follow up tests are expected and the prime minister said he will be monitored for the next 3- 4 weeks and that he intends to follow the doctor’s orders. The prime minister arrived back in the state yesterday (Monday) afternoon.
