Prime Minister Gonsalves returned home Monday afternoon from Barbados where he was under observation after an MRI determined he suffered a concussion.

At the Argyle International Airport, the prime minister with his wife by his side received a warm welcome home, as he was greeted by some party supporters and cabinet members led by acting prime minister Montgomery Daniel.

The prime minister left the airport in a motorcade style, waving to pockets of supporters along the way heading to his residence at Old Montrose where he is now in quarantine.

Our news team spoke with some supporters who said that they were happy to welcome home their leader.

The ULP’s caretaker for East Kingstown constituency, Luke Browne was among the well wishers at his Sion Hill office who were happy to see the prime minister back on island.
