As SVG continues to receive doses of different Covid-19 vaccines, an increase in the inoculation rate on ground is being anticipated.

This is according to the advisor to the Covid-19 taskforce Dr. Jerrol Thompson.

Dr. Thompson said the country recently received one hundred and eighteen (118) doses of the Pfizer vaccine and all of the doses were fully utilised, some being administered to eligible children at the request of their parents/guardians.

Dr Thompson said as more Pfizer vaccines become available, childhood Covid-19 vaccinations are expected to increase here.

The infectious disease specialist said it is expected that the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines will be granted full approval soon, noting that these vaccines will no longer be considered as ongoing experimental vaccines.
