This announcement was made by Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves while speaking on radio on Sunday.

Dr. Gonsalves said due to the late departure of some teachers on pre-retirement leave as well as study leave granted for another 25 teachers, there is a void within the system that must be filled.

The prime minister indicated that the public service commission is putting arrangements in place to have these positions filled before the end of the week.
